VATSTAR ATO is hosting their 4 year anniversary mega event and one of their flights is KATL-KTPA.
We've been asked to staff up for them. Turn out for their first event, KDEN-PHNL turned about 20 planes so this should be a fun little event for us.
They depart ATL at 2130z so should be to TPA earliest of 2230z. Brief will be 2145z and staff up 2200z.
Please signup with your top three in order of what you'd like to work. Cab / TRACON / Center
Positions and splits will be determined when signups are posted, so for now only put where you want to work, specific position requests (i.e. requesting DEL or GND, we know what you are certed for so signup for what for the facility you want to work, not the position) will most likely not be honored, you will get assigned where you are needed.
(GR) Update from the VATSTAR CEO: We are striving for high participation and a lot of fun for your controllers and our pilots. Like every previous event, we will pick one random controller from this event to receive one of the 30 prizes we have to giveaway that include VKB Gladiator Joystick (3) - TFDi Design PACX - TFDi Design 717 - Just Flight Add On (2)- FS2Crew Copy - ORBX winner’s choice product (3)- REX Skyforce + worldwide airports (3)- VSKYLABS Tecnam P2006T - VSKYLABS Robinson R66 Turbine – VSKYLABS Flight Design CTLS - A2A winner’s choice product (3)- Golden Age Simulations winner’s choice product (3)- FlySimWare Falcon 50 (3)- Nemeth Designs AEROSPATIALE SA-2 SAMSON - Nemeth Designs SIKORSKY S-76A SPIRIT - Nemeth Designs EUROCOPTER EC-130 B4. There is no need to register in order to qualify, just control.
So because this is a Tampa Fly-in from the north, opening a MIA_CTR seems counter intuitive to the goal here, so to eliminate the demand for high MIA traffic and the need for MIA controllers we'll just schedule TPA ATCT positions, if someone not scheduled chooses to staff MIA_CTR, they may.
*** Splits can be determined prior to event start. (Feeder, Final, Departure should work for this one). If load is light feel free to move up to CTR if you prefer.
