New Website Launched

New Website Launched

After several months in development, we are pleased to introduce our new website to both our controllers as well as the virtual flying public.    This is a complete redesign from the ground up with a more modern look and feel as well as a more relevant organizational structure.  For our editors, managing content on the site is far easier than before, and for our administrative staff, member management has been entirely automated.

For pilots, we’ve added some Tips to flying in Miami as well as a Pilot FAQ.    We also have charts for all of our major airports as well as some pilot downloads.   See the Pilots menu for even more pilot-related items.

For Controllers, your hours for the current and previous months are displayed when you log in.   The forums are now an integrated part of the website, so you no longer lose the navigational menus when you visit or participate in the message boards.   Controllers should use their VATSIM CID as their username and the password that they used on the old forums to log into the new website and forums.

Please take a moment and navigate through our new website.  We hope that you’ll find it a well-organized resource whether you are a pilot or a Miami ARTCC controller (or you wish to become one)   In any event, if you have any questions or comments regarding the content contained in our website, please feel free to contact us or post a message in the General Board in the forum.

Finally, I’d like to thank Sergio Lopez for all of his help in getting this site ready to launch.  Sergio actually went out to Miami International Airport to take some pictures, made many suggestions, and spent many hours moving content from our old site to our new site.
